I had the privilege of speaking at the Shop/08 Crave business panel on "Turning your Passion into Profit." Speaking to a full house (there were even seats on the sides of the room as more women signed up than there was room) was a thrill. Speaking to a group of female entrepreneurs was even better - contagious energy. The video below shows the view from the stage.

What a wonderful opportunity to spend time in the company of others who, as fellow entrepreneurs have experienced the same highs and lows as I have. If I could identify a common denominator amongst the attendees, I would have to say it is that we are a group of individuals who view the challenges of entrepreneurship not as obstacles to our success, but rather as the necessary exercises to prepare us for our success. And that is just the type of company I like to keep.

| Thank you! SHOP/08 was a wonderful and unique opportunity to get educated and inspired. As a real estate agent, the usual conferences I attend are full of the same old, same old. SHOP/08 provided a forum for me to generate new ideas about building my business and thinking outside the box. |
I had the good fortune to be in a room with over 100 women for 8 hours - and I wanted to hear every one of their zany and inspirational stories. How often do you get to attend a conference where everyone in the room is an interesting person? Exactly.

I loved Shop 08. What a wonderful way to start with all of us introducing ourselves. The first 2 hours flew by. The converstations were very informative,the the breakout sessions were great. The themes were marketing and internet. I liked that it focused on just 2 parts of business. I actually came home and typed up 41/2 pages of notes to share with my business partner. Start up Junkie has set the bar for women's business classes! See you next time!
